“Glee” Creator Ryan Murphy Responds to NBC/Macy’s

Glee
Ryan Murphy responded via Ew.com regarding the Glee cast being pulled from the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade “I completely understand NBC’s position, and look forward to seeing a Jay Leno float,” he told EW.com

Apparently sources are telling EW that the reason is that the “whole” cast would equal too much promotion. I’m willing to bet they’d just put the kids up as they’ve been doing the brunt of promotion and appearances.[Sarcasm alert] Of course we’ve never seen entire Broadway shows put up dozens of performers doing entire song and dance numbers oh no…not at all. Perhaps the Glee cast could’ve applied as simply a “performance” group under the name “New Directions”. Well either way…thank goodness NBC ™ is helping keep america safe from promotional material being in the Macy’s ™ Thanksgiving Day Parade. I personally am looking forward to the Snoopy ™, Dora the Explorer ™ and M&M(tm) 40 foot balloons. Personally I’d want to ride on an Anheuser Busch ™ Clydesdale and wave to the crowd.

Well the bottom line is…NBC has successfully made sure that the little known FOX show that has had little to no promotion at all called “Glee” will never be known to the general public by promotion on the ratings juggernaut known as NBC.

Ironically Fox is the only network that allowed their people to be guests on the new Jay Leno show.
